Coronavirus - Routine appointments

We have a limited amount of routine appointments which will be issued on a first come first served basis. They will be available on phoning the practice. We will always ask if you have any flu like symptoms or if you have had contact with a Covid-19 +ve patient prior to booking these appointments. We would urge you to consider if your symptom could be dealt with over the telephone and request a telephone appointment if this is possible. However, some cases will need to be examined and will require to come into the surgery. As previously, all patients with symptoms suggestive of Covid-19 will receive a phonecall back from one of our clinicians.
We will continue to see urgent patients, however, all patients with viral upper respiratory tract symptoms will be phoned by the doctor to decide on the most appropriate action. It may be that this requires a face to face review at the surgery or it may mean that we discuss symptomatic management at home. Both Eaglesham and the Health Centre remain open. We are continuing to complete our routine work including issuing prescriptions. We are in discussion with our Pharmacy colleagues to decide how this will continue. However, please order your prescriptions as you would ordinarily. Our phone lines are open and we encourage you to phone the practice rather than attend.
There will also be nurse appointments for dressings, stitch removal and urgent bloods.
The reasoning behind all these decisions first and foremost is to keep our patients and our staff as safe as possible. We would like to reassure you that we are continually refining our plans for this outbreak and are working together to minimise impact on our services guided by the most up to date Government advice. We will update our news stories regularly.
